Makita charger bracket & how to be evil

If you have been reading this website and following the Barras3D facebook page you will see i make quite a few designs. Most of them would have zero use to anyone else other than me as i am designing them purely for my own problems such as the USB panel with the two switches for the USB and the heater. Or they are for clients who won’t want their design shared.

Though once in a while i make something that will benefit others and i upload them to the internet using the website build by Prusa https://www.printables.com

The Barras3D page is here and this is where I upload designs that will benefit others such as the sorby drill guides and other such oddball inventions

The latest thing I have designed is a braket so I can take a makita DC18RC battery charger with me as i have recently added a makita finger sander to the tools i carry as it is brilliant for hedgetrimmers.

Oh and the evil bit?

Well like many japanese domestic market products it can be made to play the most god awful electronic tunes

If you pull the battery and quickly re-insert it you can cycle through the tunes and change it from the standard single beep to indicate the battery is fully charged

This is wonderful for winding up your fellow workers as they will have no idea how to change it back as there is no buttons
